Northern hemisphere (Asia)- winter- high pressure
Southern hemisphere (Australia)- summer- low pressure
Wind blows from Asia (high pressure) to Australia (low pressure)
Wind picks up moisture from ocean and bring rain to land
Change in direction half yearly during reverse of seasons
